Continuing Professional Development

Given the rapid pace and scope of changes to their profession, Chartered Professional Accountants must continually maintain, update, improve and enhance their knowledge and skills in areas in which they work.

Saskatchewan’s CPAs must meet the mandatory Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements. To record your CPD for the current year please log-in to your member account.

The deadline for reporting CPD hours achieved between January 1, 2017 and December 31, 2017 is February 15, 2018. Members are required to report their first three year cycle by February 15, 2018, for the period January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2017.

A member shall sustain professional competence by keeping informed of, and complying with, developments in professional standards in all functions in which the member practices or is relied upon.

If you will meet the minimum three year cycle requirements for CPD before December 31, 2017, please remember to enter your hours into the “My CPD” Reporting Tool by February 15, 2018.

If you will not meet the minimum three year cycle requirements for CPD before December 31, 2017 you will be required to submit a CPD plan. The plan must be submitted to the Registrar at registrar@cpask.ca before February 15, 2018. Click here to download the CPD plan document.
